This seminar is intended for junior and senior land professionals, including anyone who has previously taken the full-day course: An Interpretative Approach to Dealing with ROFR Issues.
This seminar will be a refresher on legal principles applying to rights of first refusal (ROFRs) and a discussion of "tools" and suggested interpretive methods for analyzing and responding to novel or unusual ROFR scenarios. As well, this seminar will focus-in on seminal and recent ROFR case law that is relevant to the energy industry, including a review of topics such as:

Brittney is a Partner at BD&P, whose practice involves transactional work including asset and share acquisitions and dispositions, amalgamations, mergers and the formation and organization of corporations, partnerships and joint ventures, as well as competition law and foreign investment, including securing regulatory approvals for mergers from the Competition Bureau and Investment Canada. Brittney attended the University of Lethbridge where she earned a Bachelor of Arts (with Great Distinction) in 2008 and the University of Alberta where she earned a Bachelor of Laws in 2011.
