Land Professionals
Land Professionals are the public‑facing representatives of energy and infrastructure development. They manage, acquire, and oversee land and resource rights and often serve as the primary link between industry, landowners, Indigenous communities, and governments.
CALEP members work as in‑house land representatives, field Land Agents, and independent consultants across industries, including oil and gas, renewables, transmission, transportation, communications, and emerging energy sectors.
Land work performed by our members may include:
- Negotiating mineral and surface rights
- Commercial and business agreements
- Stakeholder, Indigenous, and government engagement
- Title research and due diligence
- Land management, permitting, and regulatory compliance
- Unitization, pooling, and coordination of mineral interests
